
Church in the Community
“Sunday Worship” supports a number of Charity organisations on the island of Lanzarote. A brief summary of each charity is detailed below:-
Adislan
Association for People with Disabilities of Lanzarote is a non-profit association, declared a public utility by the Ministry of the Interior in December 2001 and that serves people with intellectual disabilities and families on the island of Lanzarote and La Graciosa. The purpose of the Association is the promotion and realization of all activities that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, in order to ensure their full family, social and work integration.
Calor y Café
Calor y Café are a non-profit association based in Arrecife, their doors are open to help those in need, whatever the reason. The charity was formed back in September 1996, now Sor (Sister) Ana together with a total of 22 volunteers offer many different services to people who find themselves in a situation of social exclusion as well as individuals and families that due to the current economic situation and unemployment cannot afford to cover their basic needs.
AFOL
Asociación de Familias Oncohematológicas de Lanzarote. Is a non-profit association, created in 2001 by a group of parents who have gone through and are experiencing the experience of having a child with Cancer. The Association provides Cancer patients and their families with psychological, social, educational, economic support (special cases) and home help necessary to care for the patient and their relatives in the best conditions throughout the disease.
Creciendo Yaiza
Creciendo Yaiza are a non-profit association whose objective is that children and young people with special educational needs, disability or risk to have equal opportunities in any area of life.
